Brioche

This was clicked sometime in February.
Baked at home, the melting in the mouth type.

Brioche is something of a cross between a bread and a cake. (a rich rich butter bread)

This can also be used as dessert with cream filling.
Got over within no time As for the recipe, I have yet to get it from wifey.

Cheese and sausage rolls:

Cheese and sausage rolls clicked this morning.  One can be innovative and substitute the sausage with something suitable for the vegans.

This pigeon was very curious about all the fuss that I was making to click a few photographs.

But our little daily visitor here is least bothered about all this and does all her wallowing in the freshly watered plants (she makes a big racket if the plants are not watered before she comes)

The brioche and cheese and sausage rolls both look delicious, Joe. You are lucky that your wife is such a talented cook. Nice picture of the pigeon too. :-)

Maybe, the next time this happens I will give you a tinker :-)

Yep..... I get to taste first :-)

Please post the recipes too ... especially the brioche.
I guess the little bird gets to drink the droplets. It is summer and all kinds of birds flock to the little bird bath I have set up on the balcony. It is fun watching them frolick around. :)

Did someone say Brioche!? I brake for brioche. I dream of brioche. If only I could reach into my computer screen and call that brioche my own. I bet it was delicious.

Ah, this has sent my salivary glands on a racket. I wish the pictures in the post would turn into real and satiate me.

Joy always,
Susan

Haddock said...

Ha ha .... Susan you are most welcome to Pune :-)

Haddock said...

Trishie I agree with you. In fact who does not like Brioche?

Haddock said...

You can actually reach for it Christine, the next time you come to India (with some good old post cards)

Haddock said...

Susie, it not only looks delicious but just melts in the mouth.

Haddock said...

Hi Harman, yes the drill is like this, first I get the aroma (while it is being baked) then I get to photograph it, and finally I get to eat it :-)

Haddock said...

Aha, the recipe.... let me see Sharmila if wifey is ready to part with it :-)
Yes its real fun to watch the bidrs in the morning.

I love Brioche! In fact it is one of the things that I miss about growing up in France! Thank you for coming to visit and your lovely comment!

I am addicted to brioche, it disappears fast in this house! Your loaves here look fabulous. Also cool that the birds pay you a visit, right now it is extremely windy here and not a bird in sight.
Thanks for popping in and commenting on my blog also!

Diane said...

I am not very successful with making brioche but there is so much in all the shops here that it is almost not worth the trouble. Thanks so much for your visit and comment, it is appreciated. Have a great day. Diane

I am discovering more and more people who love Brioche :-)
Its a pity that we did not taste the same when we were in France last year.

Haddock said...

Welcome Tina.
Having the birds around in the garden is an additional bonus.

Haddock said...

Welcome Diane.
There is always that slight difference between what you get in the shops and what you make at home.

Haddock said...

Yes Lowell, its extremely soft and melts in the mouth.

Haddock said...

Welcome Velva.
The next time I will try it out your way :-)

Haddock said...

Hi Mariana....welcome.
I tried to capture it against the rising sun.

I do love brioche but I've never made it. I came over to visit from the A to Z site. I'm guessing you're going to blog photographs for the A to Z. I'm writing about nostalgia.
